I bought a gold engraved cornet MP to play with a 1923 Couesnon cornet. It wasn't a good match but I loved the MP. Now I bought a new Flip Oakes Wild Thing short cornet to go with the MP, the two are an incredible combo.

I am very impressed with the product and fast service. Peter is great to work with.

I am playing Pickett backbores almost all of the time now.

Fit and finish were excellent. Leather inserts on valve buttons have a very nice feel to them.

The clarity of my sound when using my Pickett mouthpiece is fantastic!

Higher range, easier and quicker response, richer sound.

GREAT sounding backbores. Perhaps I could use a bit more mass on the backbore (do you make heavier ones?).

I was fortunate to be able to sit in with the Delmarva Big Band this past weekend at an outdoor jazz festival while visiting a good friend.  The temp. was 103 degrees and of course the gig was outdoors.  I am sure you can imagine the heat, humidity, and just uncomfortable nature of the performance, however it was nice to be able to depend on my equipment to help me through a tough situation.  I was using a custom piece you had made me and it worked great for lead and solos.  Your customer service and craftsmanship are outstanding, I look forward to working with you in the future.
